What’s your idea of a perfect weekend? Tell us about it here. I’ll begin with mine.
My weekend begins on Saturday afternoon, after I’ve finished teaching.
I’ll leave our building just off Piazza di Spagna at about a quarter to six. Hopefully it’s a beautiful sunny late afternoon.
If I’m staying in town, I’ll see an exhibition. Otherwise I’ll likely head for Campo dei Fiori. I’ll stop at the Fahrenheit 451 bookstore and check out their photographic books: I collect these. After that, I’ll have a glass of wine in a cosy bar I know nearby on Via Monte della Farina. It’s called “Il Vinaietto“.
Then I’ll head home to Centocelle to have dinner, perhaps at one of the nearby restaurants, such as “La Cantina di Dante”. Later, I might go out to a club or stay home and edit photos. I try to go to bed in good time especially if I am getting up early for a Sunday bike ride.
Weather permitting, Sunday will see me on a long bike ride. I catch a train to somewhere, head out on my bike and then catch another train home to Rome on another line. I sometimes go out alone, sometimes with friends. To find out more, see the Bike Blog,
